Construction start for OMV

Schwechat, 12.10.2016 – Following ATP Vienna’s competition success with its concept for a new office building for OMV and subsequent appointment as the integrated designer for the project the 14-month design phase has now given way to the start of construction work. The striking, apparently floating built sculpture is located outside the refinery site and clearly visible from the nearby motorway.
“In the future the new OMV office building will be the first to greet the people of Vienna and visitors to the city with high-quality architecture as they travel from the airport to the city center”, said the ATP project leader, the architect Birgit Reiterer.
In addition to its extraordinary design the new building is particularly notable for a functionality which is precisely aligned with the clients’ operating processes. The office areas are generally free of columns and hence can be very flexibly used.
