TQB Certification and klima:aktiv-Standard Gold by the ÖGNB

A comprehensive building evaluation process resulted in the award of the TQB (Total Quality Building) Certificate of the Austrian Sustainable Building Council (ÖGNB) to the Faculty of Engineering Sciences of the University of Innsbruck which has undergone a general refurbishment led by ATP Innsbruck. The award of 917 from 1,000 possible quality points makes it the second-best refurbished office building in Austria. In the categories “health & comfort” and “materials & construction” it even achieved a perfect score. Refurbished to passive house standards, the high rise building has a HWB of 4.0.

The sensitive technical refurbishment concept by ATP’s building services engineers is consistent with the existing structure and offers energy savings of up to 85%.

Alongside the TQB Certificate the ÖGNB also awarded the building klima:aktiv Standard Gold with 1,000 from 1,000 quality points. With its specially developed window types for natural ventilation and wind-resistant shading the tower meets the EnerPhit standard for refurbishment at passive house level.
