ICSC Award Certificate of Merit 2006 max.center, Wels, AT
Phoenix, Arizona, on 30th November 2006 – Prize ceremony and announcement of the best worldwide shopping centre at the Hotel Marriot Desert Ridge Resort: The max.center was on the final shortlist for the International Design and Development Award 2006 of the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers, New York).
11 projects from all corners of the globe were on the shortlist in the category for shopping centres with a sales area of 15.000-50.000 m2. Of these the max.center was the only project in Austria and one of only five in Europe (USA 3, Canada 1, Japan 1, Philippines 1, Germany 2, Portugal 1, Spain 1, Austria 1) and was awarded a “Certificate of Merit”.
The ISCS is a worldwide active organisation for shopping centre investors, operators and designers. Outstanding projects are honoured once a year in front of thousands of visitors to the annual international congress. In order to receive a Certificate of Merit a project must be awarded 75 points in the following categories: presentation of entry material (max. 5 points), land use (max. 10 points), design (max. 35 points), development goals (max. 20 points), productivity/financial performance (max. 20 points) & innovation (max. 10 points).
