Unconventional Instead of Standard

BROOKKAMP in industrieBAU

HAMBURG, 06.02.2025
Publication Hamburg Office and administration

The trade journal focusing on industrial architecture introduces the Light Industrial and Logistics Park in Hamburg.

In issue 1/2025 of February 6, 2025, industrieBAU reports on the redesign and enhancement of the BROOKKAMP area in the Hamburg industrial area of Billbrook. ATP architects engineers had been commissioned with the integrated design of two halls with partial office spaces as well as an employee parking garage.

The six-page feature discusses the architectural concept, the differentiated structural design, and the sustainability measures of the building. The new construction presents itself as an architectural antithesis to the usual industrial buildings, relying, among other things, on the building material wood. A particular challenge for the planning team was the reorganization of truck and car traffic in the tight spatial conditions, including the implementation of a one-way system for truck traffic.

Brookkamp is an unconventional light industrial and logistics park that stands out for its exterior appearance. The use of wood as a building material not only makes the new construction more sustainable but also creates a pleasant indoor climate for the users.
