In the middle of the month we celebrated the start of construction of the WALTER GROUP Campus: As a communicative connecting element with open and flexibly designed workplaces, the WALTER GROUP Campus and the new main CONTAINEX building are conceived to encourage exchange and cooperation amongst employees. “In the competition for Europe’s best brains, we want to be able to offer the best working conditions – for the long term,” explains Alois Höfler, Board Member of the WALTER GROUP.

In 2022, a tender process led to the commissioning of ATP architects engineers to deliver the integrated design of an ecologically and socio-culturally high-quality headquarters building. The sustainability concept that was developed by ATP in line with the ATP Green Deal focuses on the use of regenerative energies such as geothermal and solar power and a careful approach to the consumption of resources. In addition to this, the large areas of planting and greenery enhance the quality of the internal and external spaces for users while contributing to the passive cooling of the building.

A workplace with a green heart
Inside the CONTAINEX building, a green atrium rises skywards as an open communication zone. The welcoming, light-filled space offers users a range of co-working areas and meeting points. By reducing the travel distance between departments, the central core simplifies communication and collaboration.
