Where Exchange Gets Space

Completion of the WALTER GROUP Campus

Wiener Neudorf, August 30, 2026
Office and administration Vienna New work

The new WALTER GROUP Campus creates space for modern work, meeting, and exchange - with a special focus on sustainability and quality of stay. For its sustainable planning and implementation, the building received the ÖGNI Gold certification.

About three years after the groundbreaking, we celebrated the completion of the new WALTER GROUP Campus together with the client. The centerpiece is the new headquarters of CONTAINEX. On approximately 13,880 m² of usable space, it offers a modern working environment for up to 800 employees with diverse opportunities for collaboration and informal encounters.

Striking Silhouette
Located directly on the A2, the new building is visible from afar: At its two ends, striking window boxes protrude from the clearly structured facade and give the building a distinctive silhouette. Thus, the new headquarters becomes a visible symbol of the new location.

Communicative Heart
Openness and communication also shape the interior space concept. Generous glass surfaces, two inner courtyards, and double-story urban windows bring plenty of daylight into the building and create a bright, open atmosphere. Meeting points, lounge areas, and creative zones extend the work and access areas with spaces for informal encounters and exchanges. An atrium with greenery across different floors forms the communicative center of the building; a central access core keeps the paths between departments short.

Energy and Resources in Focus
Sustainability has been an essential element of our integrative planning from the beginning. The concept combines regenerative energy supply with a conscious use of natural resources. Around 100 geothermal probes and a photovoltaic system with around 133 kWp cover a significant part of the energy needs, and smart shading systems additionally reduce the effort for heating and cooling.

The sustainable approach continues in the outdoor area: Cisterns with a storage volume of around 45,000 liters and infiltration-open parking areas relieve the sewer system. Green roof surfaces and a green noise barrier ensure a balanced microclimate.

The WALTER GROUP Campus has already received a preliminary ÖGNI certification in Gold.
