Strengthening Families with Seriously Ill Children

The two managing directors of ÜLENKINDER, Kirsten Mainzer and Thomas Schnahs, were delighted by the appreciation shown for their work: “As a non-profit organization, we depend on external support to respond to the constantly changing needs of families with seriously ill children. With ATP's generous donation, we can now proceed with the renovation of a family room, expand the outdoor play area, and make necessary interpreter or therapy costs possible. Help for Self-Help
The care facility ÜLENKINDER in Hamburg supports families with seriously ill or palliative children and bridges the gap between the necessary transitional care from the hospital to home care. During a stay of two to twelve weeks, parents are trained by professionals to care for their child at home. The aim of this self-help assistance is to empower families to better cope with their daily lives, which are highly burdened by the demands of their child's serious illness. The outpatient living space provides space for up to eight children and adolescents who require intensive care.

Corporate Giving – ATP assumes social responsibility
ATP donates annually at Christmas to projects or institutions of socio-political interest, making a contribution to the community. In this social commitment, ATP focuses on projects in the vicinity of its own design locations in DACH and CEE. Thus, individual ATP offices play an important role in the selection and implementation of donation activities.
