ATP takes 22nd place amongst the world’s 100 biggest architectural offices

London, 1st January 2019 – The fourth-largest architectural office in Europe, third-largest on the Continent, and only Austrian name on the “Big List” – the annual World Architecture 100 Ranking (WA100) by the well-known British magazine BD has once again bestowed some superlatives upon us this year. In “Building Design’s annual survey of the top global practices” ATP architects engineers has moved up to 22nd place.

With the addition of ATP HAID Nuremberg, ATP’s fourth office in Germany, and Fabsolutions, the Swiss specialists for factory design, the ATP Network grew last year by around 70 experienced employees. This growth can also be felt: Number 3 of the Top 10 architectural offices in both Western and Central & Eastern Europe in terms of contract volume is another step upwards. In the CEE Region we are well ahead of such offices such as BIG, gmp, Chapman Taylor, Gensler, HOK, and Foster+Partners.

ATP was also able to improve significantly on the previous year in terms of its different markets: In the “retail” sector we have climbed an impressive five places to Number 5. Our latest completed retail projects include DO Croatia in Zagreb and Max City in Pula while ALEJA, Slovenia’s most state-of-the-art shopping center, is currently under construction. In the field of “Science/Production” we were able to hold onto 3rd Place. The commissions for the Technologiezentrum Seestadt and the refurbishment of a research building at Vienna BioCenter make us one of the major players in this area. In the “Environment” sector we currently occupy 7th Place. And, for the first time, ATP architects engineers is also one of the ten most successful offices in the field of “Engineering,” in which we are the only European office on the list.
