Opening of a main outlet for the automotive industry in Frankfurt

Frankfurt 21st September 2016 – Located centrally between Frankfurt am Main and Offenbach am Main, the latest and most state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz showroom has been opened to the public. The building is notable architecturally for its generously designed, glazed showroom and high-quality aluminum façade cladding. ATP architects engineers (Frankfurt) designed the building to meet the exact needs of Mercedes-Benz’ functional processes while also creating a dominant urban design element for the Kaiserlei district.

“With our core competence, integrated design, we have been designing sustainable buildings for the automotive industry for many years. Thanks to this experience we were able to expertly meet the challenges presented by such a heterogeneous and yet intimately related range of uses”, explained ATP’s Project Leader Birgit Klein.

The complex consists of six buildings and offers space for around 400 employees and 44 maintenance and service zones. The site has room for the presentation of 1,500 cars. ATP, together with LCEE, ensured that the project was awarded Gold certification by the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council).
