High Performance

Prize-winning projects, green building, urban development … The presentations, lectures and discussions at ATP’s stand were highly frequented.

Munich, 6th – 8th October 2014 – As the first office worldwide to offer ISO-certified integrated design, ATP’s stand at this year’s EXPO REAL looks at future developments.

Ten lectures at the stand from ATP’s experts and guests and the accompanying discussions offered an exciting insight into the design of the commercial buildings of tomorrow. The opportunity for visitors to zap their way through the world of ATP and to get a feel for the company’s culture and projects with the help of interactive and hands-free “liquid devices” offered the ATP stand a particularly futuristic flair.

Amongst the projects on display were the EU prize-winning aspern IQ office building (European GreenBuilding Integrated Design Award 2014) and a panel covering “Integrally designed office structures” which will include a realized competition-winning project for an international client. Also on show was the model of a new urban district in Zagreb/Savica, which was also developed from a competition winning project.

A major focus of the presentations and lectures was the retail field and, in particular, successful refurbishment - as exemplified by the general refurbishment of SCS, Europe’s largest shopping center. There was also a specifically discussion on the refurbishment of shopping centers in Switzerland: ATP kfp Zürich leaded an interdisciplinary discussion of the integrated approach which involved all relevant processes and systems as well as project organization. Remaining in the retail field, ATP sustain, ATP’s research company for sustainability, has carried out a portfolio analysis of 40 objects and headlined a moderated discussion addressing the issue of real estate certification and portfolio management.

In addition to this an interdisciplinary group of experts examined competition between retail locations as a means of analyzing the questions of the future and the various ways in which retailers can react - whether online or concrete, downtown or greenfield, shopping center, retail park or shopping street - and of examining who will play which role in the future and who will drive the various formats.

Days 1 and 2 were rounded off by the popular and well-patronized get-together, the “ATPero”, where the discussion continued energetically as always, accompanied by Italian hors-d’oeuvres and Austrian wine.
