Anif, 22.03.2012 – With around 1 million customers a year the Maximarkt in Anif is both an important supermarket for the local people and a favourite and very popular family market for the Salzburg region. A press conference was held at which Dr. Hans Krüger (the Mayor of Anif), Thomas Schrenk (CEO Maximarkt), Architect Andrei Florian (ATP Architects and Engineers Innsbruck) and Thomas Steidl (GPA Druck, Journalism, Salzburg Paper) presented the new flagship store to the media and the public.
“The revitalisation of this traditional supermarket naturally represents a significant boost for the municipality of Anif: We will profit from the modern architecture while Maximarkt makes an important contribution to the improvement of the overall location”, Dr. Hans Krüger told the press conference marking the start of building work.
ATP architect Andrei Florian explained the architectural and ecological concept of the new Maximarkt, which aims to establish new standards for energy and sustainability.
