Architect Michael Hiss has joined Ulf Bambach at the helm of the Frankfurt office of ATP N+M Architects and Engineers in April.
Michael Hiss was born in 1971 in Flörsheim am Main and studied architecture at the Technical University in Darmstadt. His first professional experience was during his studies when he spent time working as a site engineer for Hochtief AG at the New Athens International Airport. After this time spent “at the other end of the design process“, Hiss joined the competition and project development group of Novotny Mähner Architects in Frankfurt in 1998. In 2000, he become an associate and gained special responsibility as the Head of Construction Management for the design and realisation of such large projects as Dresdner Bank’s “Gallileo” tower in Frankfurt. In 2004, Hiss switched to the client side as project leader of the LAC-Lufthansa Aviation Centre at Frankfurt/Main airport. Most recently he was active as the head of strategic purchasing of construction services with special responsibility for the commissioning by Deutsche Lufthansa AG of controlling, design, execution, facilities management and energy services. In the management team of ATP N+M Frankfurt, Hiss will have particular responsibility for the various fields of engineering as well as for the areas of controlling, personnel and organisation.
Hiss on ATP: “The attraction and added value of ATP come from the way in which architects and engineers work side by side to find integrated solutions for their clients. In this way we are borrowing a leaf from the work of the very first master builders”.
