2010-01-01 ATP among Top 10 retail real estate designers worldwide

The current issue of BD WORLD ARCHITECTURE (January 2010) lists ATP Architects and Engineers among the "Top 10 designers" of shopping centres worldwide (Number 7). ATP was especially successful in this branch during 2009.

The ATRIO shopping centre in Villach was  named “Shopping Center of the World 2009“ by the international trade body ICSC and received the highest award: the Best-of-the-Best-Award/Sustainability. In addition to this, the inner-city shopping centre KOMM in Offenbach/Frankfurt, the largest shopping centre in Croatia, (West Gate in Zagreb - with a gross lettable area of 100,000m2) and two refurbishments in Salzburg (ZIB) and Bratislava (Polus Center) were opened last year.

Retail real estate architecture has been a core competence of ATP Architects and Engineers for more than 30 years with the company being one of the first in the retail industry to focus on the issue of sustainability.  “The retail real estate of the future demands stable economic success, resource-saving concepts and social added-value for both cities and entire regions” explains Christoph M. Achammer, CEO of ATP. “This is the objective of the integrated design approach of ATP Architects and Engineers, and it will become especially important in the future in the area of shopping centres.”
