1st Prize International Competition Office Tower Süddeutsche Zeitung, Munich, Germany
A new headquarters building for the Munich-based 'Süddeutscher Verlag' newspaper group, adjacent to the company's existing and architecturally significant printing works to the east of the centre of Munich.
ATP was selected to construct the tower, which shall be the highest and most dominant on the Munich skyline, despite stiff competition from such leading international offices as Fuksas, Ingenhoven, v.Gerkan +Marg, Ortner+Ortner and Vasconi. The Jury made special mention of the clear profile of the building, the innovative facade design and the superb technical submission.
